Supporting Growth and Neurologic Development

Pediatric Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care is gentle, safe, and supportive for children at every stage of development—even from birth. The birthing process, while natural, can place stress on an infant’s spine and nervous system. Addressing these stresses early can help support healthy growth, movement, and neurologic function as your child develops.

Early assessment allows us to identify and address concerns before they become more complex. In infants and young children, chiropractic care may help with challenges such as head shape asymmetries, neck tension, feeding difficulties, excessive gas or colic, hip restrictions, retained primitive reflexes, and other neurologic imbalances. Chiropractic evaluations can also assist in identifying signs of tethered oral tissues, including tongue or lip ties, which may impact feeding and development.

As children grow, ongoing chiropractic care can support healthy sleep patterns, digestion, immune function, and nervous system regulation. Gentle adjustments are designed to reduce stress on the nervous system, allowing the body to communicate and adapt more effectively.

Supporting Children with Behavioral, Learning, and Socialization Challenges

Every child’s brain develops in a unique way. Sometimes children experience challenges with focus, emotional regulation, learning, coordination, or social interaction. These struggles are often signs that the nervous system and developing brain may need additional support. Through specialized pediatric chiropractic care and brain-based strategies, I help support the communication between the brain and body. This creates an environment where children can better regulate, learn, and engage with the world around them.

Behavior is often a window into how a child’s nervous system is functioning. When the brain and body aren’t communicating efficiently, children may experience what are sometimes called "neuro-deflective behaviors”—patterns that can show up as learning difficulties, emotional dysregulation, or challenges with attention and social connection.

My care combines gentle chiropractic adjustments with brain-based developmental strategies designed to support nervous system regulation and healthy brain development.

Care may include:

  • Gentle pediatric chiropractic adjustments to reduce stress on the nervous system and support brain–body communication.
  • Developmental and neurological assessments to identify areas where the brain may need support.
  • Brain-based exercises and movement activities inspired by programs like the Brain Blossom Program to help strengthen neural pathways involved in learning, coordination, and emotional regulation.
  • Guidance for parents with simple activities and strategies to support progress at home.

These exercises and strategies help children revisit foundational developmental patterns that may have been skipped or underdeveloped, helping the brain process information more efficiently.

I believe every child has incredible potential. My role is to help support their nervous system so they can better connect, learn, and thrive.

Rather than labeling children by their challenges, we view behaviors as valuable clues about how their brain is developing—and work together to support healthier patterns and growth.

Chiropractic and Scoliosis

During the school-age years, changes in posture and rapid growth can contribute to spinal imbalances, including scoliosis. Regular chiropractic check-ups allow for early screening and monitoring of spinal development. When identified early, care can focus on supporting proper alignment, reducing strain on the spine and nervous system, and encouraging balanced growth. Chiropractic adjustments, along with guided movement and postural support, help children build strength, stability, and healthy posture as they grow.

Children I Commonly Help

Children in my practice may struggle with:

  • Difficulty focusing or paying attention
  • Hyperactivity or impulsivity
  • Learning challenges or academic frustration
  • Emotional outbursts or anxiety
  • Sensory sensitivities
  • Coordination or motor skill delays
  • Social challenges or difficulty making friends

Some families come to see me after their child has been diagnosed with conditions such as ADHD, learning disabilities, or autism spectrum differences, while others simply notice their child struggling and want additional support.
